“Keteke” Kick Starts Media Tour Come January 9

OldFilm productions presents the much anticipated movie christened “KETEKE” a Ghanaian local parlance Train, is set to start it’s media tour come January 9th 2017.

The Master and 3 Maids director-Peter Sedufia, in an interview with  Cypress Ghana , said the movie “Keteke” is officially starting its media tour to create the awareness of the movie.

According to him: I entreat Ghanaians to make sure they’re glued to their radio set, television and social media platforms as the actors and actresses will inform and also educate Ghanaians about the movie “Keteke”. He added that, patrons should expect nothing but the best. “…The crew and production team of OldFilm are set to take Ghana movie to a different level”.
Keteke is a period film set in the 80s. The synopsis of “Keteke”: A “CRAZY” couple travelling to birth their unborn child misses their train and gets stranded in the middle of somewhere we don’t know, with the woman due for labour; will the man be a midwife, or risk losing his wife and child?”.

After winning at FESPACO – Pan-African Film Festival of Ouagadougou in 2016 with his short film “The Traveller”, he has been relentless and keeps soring to higher heights.

The 2016 graduation ceremony of the National Film and Television Institute (NAFTI) saw Peter Sedufia adjudged the overall best student and just after that he started “Master and 3 maids” comedy series which was characterized by a brilliant set, great actors and a director who really understood what he was about.

Peter Sedufia tells this “KETEKE” story of a people with a culture and identity, he researched to get the right setting and costumes with the related actors who best fit the characters.

A true mark of a good director is when he understands what best describes a people and tells the story to generate that connection the viewers can easily relate with. Coming to theatres near you this March 2017, expect what I call Ghana’s awaited yean for a blend of Kukurantumi, Love Brewed in an African pot and Heritage Africa. We still have the old stock revived in this young talented filmmaker who has taken pains to be groomed and is now ready to take on the world.

Among actors who delivered award-winning performances in this film are Adjetey Annan, Lydia Forson, Clemento Suarez, Fred Amugi, Jeneral Ntatia among others. The movie was written and directed by Ghana’s phenomenal director, Peter Sedufia.
