Nana Kojo Owusu Ansah famously known in Ghanaian show business as Macho Rapper in collaboration with Blueroze Entertainment, presents the second edition of the Boricist Show which would be held in the first week of February, 2014 in Kumasi.
In an interview with Flex newspaper, Mr. Jerry Osei Bonsu aka O.B. Jerry, C.E.O of Blueroze Entertainment disclosed that as part of the re-branding process of Macho Rapper, management together with the artiste decided to embark on the show dubbed the Boricist which is simply the fusion of his musical lyrics and his bodybuilding (which is his image).
The word 'bo' is derived from the Twi word 'mabo' and the 'ricist' is also taken from the word lyricist. The Boricist show was first held successfully on the 21st of December 2013 at Vienna city night club, circle Accra.
Two of his videos will be coming on your screens next month February 2014 and the launch of his new album which should be expected in the middle of the year. The 'Get Busy' track features Vibz and the 'Sintui' track features Shango.
“Working with macho rapper has been a great experience so far. He's humble, he listens and also brilliant and it makes the work so easy,” Jerry said. “As a bodybuilder, I believe in fitness and 'sintui' is a dance that is good for the waist and all the body. 'Sintui' is a Fante term given to someone pulling it over and working hard with the waist. Sintui is a dance I created for people when working out in the gym, since I believe in fitness.” Macho Rapper is not a new name in the hip life music industry in Ghana and has enjoyed most of the bigger music platforms with large following and stage presence. With his unique image as a body builder, he comes across as one artiste with a brand that cannot be easily be mistaken for any other thing apart from tight and strong music just as he looks.
