Dark Suburd Supports Hina Numbu Foundation’s ‘Fund Raiser’

Ghana’s first Alternative Rock Band, ‘Dark Suburb’, has settled on supporting the Hina Numbu Foundation’s ‘Fund raiser’ this Friday on December 20, 2019.

Hina Numbu foundation a non-governmental organization, known to annually organise a free medical outreach up North. The foundation will launch its fund raiser on Friday to raise funds to do a free medical outreach during the first two days of the Damba Festival next year.

According to Dark Suburd, they vowed to support this initiative because, “Dark suburb is a brand developed to represent the dark suburbs of society meaning the disadvantaged in the society, an attempt to stimulate a self - development led agenda. This concept is fronted by an african masquerade culture which reminds people of justice through arts. Our aim is to raise revenue anyway we can led by our talents and invest in our disadvantaged communities through our own developed business models.”

They added that, the founder of Hina numbu foundation approached them on this agenda years ago, “and we made mistakes and somehow we have learnt from them and evolved. Though we don't trust non- governmental organizations Hina Numbu is one setup we believe to do what it set out to do and its agenda affects the dark suburbs so it's more than enough motivation to support its operations in any way we can.

“Our concept is evolving gradually though we are not there yet but Hina Numbu has been aiding the deprived for years. We intend to bring opportunities our brand gets, that are in line with hina numbu targets since we would be working with organizations. We trust all over Africa and the world eventually. We also intend to be available artistically in any fundraising like this coming event and also tell the stories of the deprived through our music and celebrate successes.”

The screening which will happen in all the Northern regions will be on these dangerous sicknesses; Hypertension, Malaria and Diabetes and also educate people on both the preventive and also to take care of themselves even after contracting any of the disease.

The launch is scheduled to take place at East Legon, closer to the underbridge, from 7 pm to 9pm to both launch the Shito and the Hina Numbu Fundraiser. For enquires call 0244448180.
