Preview FA Cup Top Liner: Gunners Vrs Red Devils Live On GOtv

The Fourth Round (last 32) of the FA Cup will held this coming weekend and the undoubted pick of the matches takes place between the two most successful clubs in the history of the competition: Arsenal and Manchester United.

Make sure to take your front row seat to the best football action in England on DStv and GOtv.

The Gunners and the Red Devils, who will meet at the Emirates Stadium on Friday night, have won a combined 25 FA Cups between them (13 for the hosts, 12 for the visitors) and will feel this match is a chance to keep up realistic hopes of claiming some silverware this season.

Arsenal and United are both well off the pace in the Premier League but alive and well in the UEFA Europa League and Champions League respectively. Yet the FA Cup is a far more ascertainable trophy – and one that both Unai Emery and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be eager to win to leave a lasting legacy at their respective clubs.

The teams last met in the FA Cup in March 2015, with Arsenal winning 2-1 at Old Trafford thanks to goals from Nacho Monreal and Danny Welbeck. The Gunners went on to win the trophy that year, securing back-to-back triumphs in the competition (they are the only club to do so in the 21st century, in 2002 & 2003 and 2014 & 2015).

The other all-Premier League ties in the Fourth Round are Manchester City v Burnley, Newcastle United v Watford and Crystal Palace v Tottenham Hotspur. Pep Guardiola’s Citizens will fancy their chances of defeating Burnley, while Watford will feel the same for their clash against the Magpies, with their manger Rafael Benitez clearly viewing the FA Cup as little more than a distraction from their survival battle in the top flight.

Spurs will also be favourites to beat Palace but given their recent injury problems and the fact that Selhurst Park can be a tough place to visit, a win in this London derby is far from guaranteed for Mauricio Pochettino, who is having his managerial nous tested to the limit by a congested fixture list.

Other key games to watch out for include Millwall hoping to upset Everton at The Den, West Ham United have a potential banana skin away to AFC Wimbledon, ditto for Wolverhampton Wanderers at Shrewsbury Town, and Chelsea will hope to turn on the style against struggling Championship representatives Sheffield Wednesday.
