There’s a new solution to one of the biggest headaches of Ghanaian and Africa musicians, music distribution on digital stores.

Over the years, many musicians have bitterly lamented on the stress they go through before submitting their music to streaming and distribution stores like iTunes and other streaming plartforms.

In light of this, a new distribution platform or aggregator called Distro Plug has been created to reduce the stress musicians go through when it comes to distributing their works on popular digital platforms.

Getting music distributed to consumers across the globe is one major challenge deeply rooted in the continent of Africa. That been said, Distro Plug a new music distribution platform was officially launched on 16/1/2019 specifically to address the issues of music distribution, maximize sales with 100% royalty and change the narrative of distribution,  Distro Plug was launched at Kikibees, East Legon. To some this might sound like a fury tale but it’s the realest reality at the moment.

Created by David Drexx George – a Ghanaian/Nigerian tech investor and entrepreneur – launched the new product on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, in Accra to save musicians of the stress.

He is a believer of talent, as much he created Distro Plug to solve challenge of music distribution from the African continent and expose the underground music community to the digital stores like iTunes, Spotify, Shazam, Google Play, etc to generate more income.

Addressing the press, Mr. George said the platform will give musicians, especially indies, the opportunity to upload their own works without going through the difficulties they go through when using western third-party distribution channels.

He also mentioned that, with just $1.99 approximately Gh¢10 artists, managers and record labels can access their online portal “www.thedistroplug.com” to submit their works which will not take more than 5 minutes whereby distribution takes effect after two days.

He said musicians can walk into their office in Accra anytime and get their works uploaded with just GHC 10. We personally think Distro Plug is a savior to the industry. Because it prides itself as the most easiest and affordable platform for every musician to sell, stream their music digitally and increase sales. What more can you ask for?
