LYNX ENTERTAINMENT MAKES A STATEMENT AT 2018 VGMAs

With almost every star gracing the red carpet for the biggest night in the Ghanaian entertainment calendar, the nineteenth edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards took place at the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday 14th April 2018 and was accompanied by the usual pomp and pageantry it has become known for!

Respected Ghanaian talent management firm credited with the success story of several musicians, including Asem, Eazzy, Richie, Zigi and all female group, D3, Lynx Entertainment made a huge impact on the night.

Styled by celebrity stylist TrendyRail, the Lynx Entertainment trio on the night – MzVee, Kuami Eugene and Kidi rocked the red carpet in their elegance and glamour and received fantastic feedback about their fashion on social media on the night. You can trust TrendyRail who has worked with Elle Magazine, Vogue and Ghana's biggest musician Sarkodie, to “nail” the looks.

From the moment MzVee stepped onto the red carpet in her custom Licorice Dress designed by Korlekie, it was obvious the Lynx Effect had been activated and they meant business. The “Odo” hit maker, Kidi oozed a unique charm which demanded every attention in his tailored grey suit styled with a black collarless shirt with a burgundy pocket square and burgundy shoes to add a pop of colour.

How many rockstars can look this clean on red carpet?  Kuami Eugene wore a carefully tailored navy suit with a hint of colour by styling the suit with a white collar shirt. He wouldn’t be a rockstar if he did not keep to the rockstar theme by adding quirky lapel pins and unbuttoned shirt!

Then the highlight of the night was the performances by the Lynx trio with each artiste using the stage to the best of their abilities – demonstrating their versatility, stage craft and star power.  MzVee, gave a powerful live band performance of her hit singles ‘Rewind’, ‘Come and See My Moda’ and ‘Sing My Name’ in addition to an emotionally filled rendition of Ebony's hit single “Date Your Fada”.

Kidi and Kuami Eugene also performed with a live band and gave a good account of themselves to justify the ‘Young Kings’ title bestowed on them by music aficionados.  Kidi grabbed the “Highlife Song of the Year” award and Kuami Eugene took home the “Highlife Artiste of the Year” and “New Artiste of the Year” awards.

As expected, they came, they saw and they conquered! Congratulations to the Lynx Entertainment team for a successful run and we cannot wait for their upcoming projects.
