The frustrations of being an underground Artiste/ a musician who is trying to get back into the limelight is very real and this makes them go around blaming anything and anyone at all for not being able to make a hit within the shortest possible time.
One of the highest receivers of this blame by such artistes are DJ's. Most of these musicians are of the view that DJ's focus more on the musicians who are making hits without paying enough attention to them thereby, making their artworks rot in the dungeon of "unknowingness".
However, DJ Vyrusky, one of the most prominent DJ's in Ghana has a different view on the matter. In a Facebook post, he complained bitterly about how these artistes "put all the blame on Ghanaian DJ's for not blowing up".
"Should we stop playing those big Ghanaian songs too cuz you want to hit?" He asked.
Well, maybe if our artistes could come up with better strategies without relying on DJ's, most of them would be singing a different song by now (no pun intended).
