2017 was a highlighting year in Yaa Yaa’s career and 2018 won’t be any different.
From releasing her single ‘Life’, to rocking shows at Porgy and Bess, Beserlpark Festival (Austria), Badu Lounge, Alliance Française and Goethe-Institut, the multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter and actress has been billed to perform at the upcoming – FRAternity concert.
The concert, hosted by music band, FRA! will take place on Saturday, 20th January at the premises of Alliance Française, Accra from 8pm to 11pm. Other artists on bill include Efya, Adomaa, Ko-Jo Cue and Reynolds ‘The GentleMan’. Robin-Huws, Maayaa, Six Strings and O’Bkay are also set to take the stage among the others.
Speaking to Yaa Yaa, she said, ”With regards to the FRA! show, I am excited. It radiates our unity as Ghanaian artists. It’s a sweet collaboration between a different breed of artists, super talented ones.
This is the kind of vibe we actually need as Ghanaians you know? Talent supporting talent”. She expressed interest in how such events were key for upcoming artists who deserve enough support. ”This could help strengthen our bond as artists – this is what our industry needs to grow”. Yaa Yaa was also keen on the importance of using individual influence as a tool to support each other.
