It was a match made in the ‘inky fratenity’ when a producer at Gifty Duho Mensah, popularly known as Maabena Duho Mensah said ‘I do’ to colleague Osei Owusu Amankwaah.
The two met on the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) campus in 2009 where there were studying for a Diploma in Communication.
They started their relation in 2010 and have stuck with each other till date. A match made on GIJ Campus as many have described it was cemented at the Church of Pentecost Tema Community One over the weekend.
In a symbolic act honouring the genesis of their story, the couple, radiant in red, cream, and white, made a triumphant return to the Ghana Institute of Journalism for a special photoshoot which has since gone viral across social media.
The colorful occasion saw many friends in the media fraternity attending. Morning Starr host Francis Abban, Adom Fm’s Ofiekwaso host Jerry Justice, Adom News’ Obidumbie ADU Kumi, Afia Amankwaah Tamaklo and her husband who is also the head of events at Starr Fm Lawrence Tamaklo, Joy Business’ George Wiafe, Starr Business TawaKalitu Braimah, GHone News’ Abena Owusu Nyamekye, head of Starr Sports Henry Asante Twum are among the many friends that celebrated the day with the couple.
