Photos: Massive Turn Out At Prince Dovlo’s “Purple” Movie premiere

 Hundreds of movie lovers stormed the Silverbird Cinema at the Accra Mall Saturday, 24th September 2016 for the premiere of “Purple” movie.

“Purple”, a musical film directed young award-winning video director and CEO of Seven Street Multimedia, Prince Dovlo seems to have really thrilled and exceeded the expectations of most of the movie lovers and industry players who had the opportunity to watch.

“Great movie…., it was is very different and exciting…., I really loved the movie and the way they incorporated our local artistes and music….., it is the best local movie for me so far…, I knew Dovlo will deliver and he didn’t disappoint,” these are some of the words of the people who had the chance to watch “Purple”.

Critic and blogger Cypress , David Mawuli and Ameyaw Debrah, director Pascal AKA and Kofi Asamoah were also impressed with the movie as well as the turnout. Pappy Kojo, Akwaboah Jnr and other celebrities joined the other cast on the red card carpet and interacted with most of their fans present at the premiere.

The only downside of the movie premiere was that the crowd exceeded the tickets and at some point, some attendees had to return home without watching.

Speaking to the director about the premiere he said

“First of all, the cast, the production team and myself are entirely are grateful to God and everyone who came to watch the movie.
“We are still overwhelmed by the great turn out and would like to apologise to everyone who had come to watch the movie but wasn’t able to, or bought a ticket in advance but weren’t able to watch due to the crowd.”

“Purple” will have its second premiere at the Westhills Mall, Weija, Accra on the 1st of October, 2016.
