Double Deal For Okyeame Kwame And John Legend's Producer

Multiple award winning rapper, Ghana’s most Versatile and decent lyricist Okyeame Kwame appears to be getting a double deal with US based Nana Kwabena Tuffour; the producer of international stars; John Legend and Jidenna and others.

The two had been seen in the past couple of days in a private recording studio in Accra, and many were wondering what was up for the pair.

In view of this, we inquired from the decent lyricist what his meetings with Nana Kwabena Tuffour (John Legend’s Producer) has been and we unraveled the ‘secret’ behind these recent meetings.

Okyeame Kwame is his response to our inquiry said in an exclusive interview that the US based producer is in town for two reasons…

The first; is to do music, with a possible collaboration between [himself] Okyeame Kwame and an undisclosed international artist.


Okyeame Kwame reveals that he has had studio sessions with Nana Kwabena Tuffour (John Legend’s Producer) where they are currently recording some songs, and also using the occasion to get to know each other and how the American music industry operates.

He said the US based producer, although he has lived in the states virtually all his life, yet likes traditional instruments, likes to play ‘Yaa Amponsah’ guitar, wwithith local Ghanaian beats.

The second and main reason why Nana Kwabena Tuffour is in Ghana, according to Okyeame Kwame, is the former to embark on a health campaign.

Nana seeks to activate a sickle cell campaign that will focus on children. In this regard, Okyeame Kwame, owing to his immense contribution in d fight against Hepatitis, will be providing some guidance to Nana Kwabena Tuffour in his health endeavors.

Okyeame said he is going to assist the renowned Producer in learning the ‘terrain’ here in Ghana and how the later can succeed in his sickle cell campaign.

He said he hopes to help Nana with his extensive expertise gained while working on hepatitis campaign, to support Nana throughout his plans, alongside recording amazing songs which has already begun.
