It was a night of surprises and amazement at the maiden Tic Tac live Xperience at Nordsee Beach Resort in Korle-Gonno on Monday, as nuggets in the Ghana music industry, treated patrons to a memorable array of performances, battling out in ragga.
One of the striking activities on the night, was when Tic Tac, Samini, VVIP, Tinny, Jupitar, Episode and Luther exhibited their dancehall/raga prowess to the thousands of clienteles at the venue.
The night started with acts from up and coming artistes, which saw Dhamie, Bbonics, Z16 Awelega and Pandora Zues among other proved their mettle to the packed audience.
This was followed by an extra among the ordinary performance by the “Osey” hit crooner, Nero X, as he opened the main act with his awe inspiring songs with his melodies voice, making the audience chant his name with handkerchiefs, praising God the hiplife way.
Eze, with his awesome band who followed, were a delight to watch as they thrilled the audience with their amazing live band performances.
It was now time to turn things around, with the African “dancehall King” Samini, a performance which was par excellence. He sang back to back, thus from his old and new hit tunes and dazzled the audience with his usual phenomenon stage artistry display.
The legendary VVIP raised the excitement with their power packed performance, as they took the charming crowd through Skolom, selfie, Dogo Yaro, and some startling old classics.
Interestingly, all these were a warming up to the ultimate on the night, as Tic Tac was ushered unto the stage by VVIP and was quickly joined by Samini to do a live band of their all-time hit, Kangaroo.
It was a treasured moment to watch Tic Tac sing, Samini’s Ragga lines in the song, in a bid to challenge Samini, which was cheered by the crowd.
The act whet the appetite of VVIP as they also grabbed the microphone to show their ragga stroke of genius, challenging Samini and Tic Tac.
TicTac continued on the night with his incomparable performance as he sang most of his hit song including current hits, like Pum Pum, Don’t let your baby go and Joe Konka.
The night was wrapped up with another exciting performance and another batch of dancehall challenge from Tinny, Jupitar, Episode and luther .
Tinny as usual, treated the audience to an electrifying act, with his brilliant display on the night. This was followed by hiplife double, Asase Aban.
Tic Tac Live Xperience, which was supported by GIHOC Distilleries, and Gennex Pizza is an initiative to sensitise the public against malnutrition and help the down-trodden stricken in hunger.
