Photos : Miss Ghana 2015 Finalists Meet Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije

“A new Accra, clean and environmentally sound where the City Authority can mobilise sufficient resources, both internally and externally; and utilize these resources judiciously to benefit the people of the city”.

Honorable Dr. Alfred Okoe Vanderpuije shared this vision for the city with the twenty- one (21) Miss Ghana 2015 finalists when they visited the Accra Metropolitan Assembly offices on 29th October 2015. The ladies were impressed by the warm welcome they received from the personnel of the Assembly as well as the Honourable Mayor; in the light of the very hectic schedule that the Mayor and/or the Assembly runs.

Hon. Vanderpuije commended the organizers of the event, Exclusive Events Ghana, for their hard work, dedication, selflessness especially for efforts to empower “the girl child”.  He expressed his experiences with the challenges of creating awareness and a remedy of our country’s social, economic, and environmental challenges and also encouraged the ladies to remain committed and ‘continue to fight for good cause’.

As tradition of a Mayoral visit, the 21 finalists each got a scarf embroidered with ‘Mayor of Accra Welcomes You’. They thus thanked the Mayor for the warm reception and gifts and promised to rock Accra this Saturday November 7th, at the Miss Ghana 2015 finals being held at the Accra Conference Center.
