Maftown Heights Adds Fan Driven Element To This Year’s Festival

The upcoming Maftown Heights festival spiced up by KFC is taking place on Friday, 27 November 2015, at Mary Fitzgerald Square, Newtown, Johannesburg, is known to showcase rising talent and this year will be no different.

The New Kids On The Block (#NKOTB) segment will be run as a public voting mechanic, putting the power in the hands of fans to vote for who they want to see added to the Maftown Heights line-up in the #NKOTB division.

A short list of 10 #NKOTB artists have been selected based on the impact they have created this year. Based on votes from the public, the top 3 voted artists will see themselves perform at this year’s Maftown Heights alongside industry heavy weights such as HHP, Khuli Chana, AKA and KO just to mention a few.

Voting mechanic:

Vote for your favourite New Kid On The Block (#NKOTB) to be on the Maftown Heights line up simply by tweeting their name as a hashtag and include #MaftownHeights15 and #NKOTB in the same post. Make sure to also tag @MaftownHeights in your tweet. 3 #NKOTB artists will get the chance to perform on our stage this year. 1 tweet equals 1 vote! It’s in your hands.
