Former TV3 Newscaster Betty Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond To Partner Kafui Dey On GHOne TV’s Morning Show ‘GH Today’

Newly acquired EIB Network on air property, GH One TV goes live with it’s morning show on December 14, with two of the most experienced heads on the local media landscape.

Already announced as one of two presenters for the show, which will be called GH Today is the station’s Programmes Manager, Kafui Dey.

Today, station handlers have also unveiled Kafui’s on-screen partner in Betty Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond, formerly of TV3.

A significant pair, they both bring to the show years of mainstream goodwill, which should get them some decent following when GH Today takes off in the second week of next month.

EIB Network looks set for what handlers say should be an exciting time on local television.
EIB in the months leading up to the takeover gave the strongest indication of how ready they were to play big in Ghana’s growing media ecosystem. The company took part in the 2015 edition of the MIPCOM Content Show in Cannes, France, in preparation for the takeoff of the project, it’s first venture into television.

EIB Network also operates Starr 103.5 FM, Live 91.9 FM, Kasapa 102.3 FM all in Accra, Ultimate FM (Kumasi), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw), and Empire FM (Takoradi). Four new radio stations are going up in Cape Coast, Koforidua, Tamale and Kumasi in the next few months. The group also owns The Daily Heritage Newspaper.
