YAW SIKI TAKES FLIGHT WITH NEW GOSPEL SINGLE, ‘MEDI WEKYI’

After over two years of embracing his Christian faith and exiting the hip-life scene, musician Yaw Siki is set to win more followers for Christ with his newly-released gospel single – Medi Wekyi.

Medi Wekyi meaning ‘I will follow you’ is a new gospel afro-pop song with an up-tempo, danceable rhythm that explores contemporary musical elements infused with catchy rap lines, with the potential of becoming the next gospel banger.

Medi Wekyi is the newest single off Siki’s gospel debut album Second Chance, currently being worked on and promises to win more souls for Christ.

In Medi Wekyi, Yaw Siki expresses his determination to follow Jesus unconditionally and rallies everyone to take up the cross and follow Jesus, in the uplifting and vibrantly energetic single.

In an interview, Yaw Siki did not mince words in expressing his eternal desire to follow Jesus Christ for His love, mercies and kindness in his life. “I am denying myself and taking up my cross daily to follow Jesus, like He said, in Luke 9:23, ‘If anyone desire to come after me, let him deny himself and take up the cross daily’.”

Since Yaw Siki’s near-fatal motor accident in April 2013, the former hip-life artiste known for hit single Wope Dodo has turned devout to Christ for saving his life in a life-changing miracle.

With Medi Wekyi, Yaw Siki celebrates Jesus and uses the lyrics as an instrument to draw people closer to God with his testimonies. The well-produced song by sound engineer Masta Garzy, gives you enough reason to follow Jesus with its sincere and honest intention, leaving you spiritually reawakened.
