Photos : WHEN BEAUTY AND CULTURE MET IN ABURI

We are a nation of rich heritage, everywhere you turn you can have a feel of our culture. The clothes we wear, food we eat and our simple mannerisms can easily show which part of the nation you come from.

This, however, does not separate us because we have found a way to stay united amidst all the diversity, we have found a way to blend the different cultures to form one rich culture that has remained the same in every region of this nation, hospitality.

We are nation of hospitable people, the genuine warmth and smile of a Ghanaian will meet you every time. If you doubt it, ask the Miss Malaika 2015 girls, they experienced at first hand the true Ghanaian hospitality in Aburi.

The girls were simply excited that they could feel the hospitality of the people of Aburi even before they entered the Aburi Township. The people of Aburi, led by their Chief received the girls warmly and held a grand durbar to welcome the girls to the town.

It was a scenery of beautiful colours of culture and tradition as the delegates clad in clothes from their native regions showcased the tradition and culture of their various towns. One after the other, the girls took the Chief and people of Aburi on a quick tour of their home regions.

Covering all the corners of this country, the delegates showcased their rich culture in a manner that only proved one point, we are one nation and one people. From their dance moves, to the clothes to the history of their home regions, the Miss Malaika 2015 delegates shed light on the various aspects of their culture that is different yet similar to the culture of the people of Aburi.

The delegates dazzled in their traditional apparel and showed a different side of them, a side that was not afraid to show people where they came from, a side that was not shy of their culture and a side that was prepared to showcase our culture to the world.
