Ghana Tourist Development Company Limited under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts is organizing a food festival in Accra.
The festival is aimed at promoting tourism and also local Ghanaian foods at a two day event dubbed, Foodfest: Taste Ghana & Beyond.
It is anticipated to attract both local and international audiences to the Efua Sutherland Park in Accra where the ceremony will take place on May 1st and 2nd. There will be a lot of activities including selling of different Ghanaian foods amidst cultural performances and other musical activities.
The ceremony was launched at the Coconut Groove Hotel in Accra on Wednesday. Hon. Dzifa Gomashie, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, musician Amandzeba Nat Brew and Nana Adwoa Awindor were some of the personalities who attended the launching ceremony.
In an address, Hon. Dzifa Gomashie employed Ghanaians to patronise made in Ghana products; be it music, movie or food. That, she said would help to boost the economy of Ghana.
