Ever since Hiplife artiste, Kwaw Kese was arrested on November 22nd, 2014 by the Police in Kumasi for allegedly smoking a substance suspected to be cannabis in public, lots of personalities have publicly pleaded on his behalf.
The numbers keep growing and the latest to join is Ghana’s International Multiple Award Winning Gospel Singer Sonnie Badu.
Sonnie Badu posted on his instagram account admonishing the authorities to have mercy on the brother.
“I am pleading with the authorities to please have mercy on our brother .. I am pleading with the authorities to please have mercy on our brother .. Please please please a heavy fine will be well understood, but treating him like an armed robber is just not right, please have mercy on him..”, he said.
He however conceded that, the rapper was wrong in smoking in public but that should not be the basis to treat him like a criminal, “Yes he was wrong, but please don’t treat him like a criminal” he said.
“What is MUSIGA doing? do we have to go see Asantehene? It’s been a bad year for Kwaw, from his manager been murdered and all that #HAVEMERCY” he asked.
