“I Paid No One To Get Where I Am Today” Says Lil Shaker

Ghanaian Hip-hop artiste, Philip Yaw Akoto Atiemo well known in Showbiz as Lil Shaker, says talent is not everything and in order for an artist to be successful there is a need to consider branding.

In an interview with Thompson C.D. Nortey on XFM’s WONNABEE SHOW, the artiste emphasized on the necessity for every musician to be business minded to enable them achieve their target.

He said an artiste should not be satisfied with just being signed on a record label but rather use the opportunity to invest in other profitable areas for greater income.

Lil Shaker lamented on some challenges he encountered during the early stages of his career which includes paying of money to DJs and event promoters which yielded no results.

He is therefore encouraging young and upcoming artistes not to focus on the difficulties they face but rather concentrate on their goals.

He indicated that despite his popularity in the country, his career has now begun and still considers himself as an underground artiste regarding the competition in the music industry.
