The number one tertiary entertainment TV show, Zone Three 6 has joined the few who has rallied behind the campaign “Bring Back Our Girls Now” – a short and
striking phrase which has been adapted in relation to the abduction of the 200 school girls in Nigeria by Boko Haram, a group and militant organization.
The hosts of the the number one tertiary TV show, Quabena Kevin and Anima have both shown their deepest support for the liberation of the abducted girls.
ZoneThree6 earlier tweeted “Proud to support #bringBackOurGirls”In a picture taken by the two, they are both seen holding a white card with an inscription of the “Bring Back Our Girls Now” slogan and have described the
unfortunate as on infringement of human right.
Boko Haram has admitted capturing the girls, saying they should never have been in school and should get married instead. The group has also threatened to
sell the girls as “slaves”.
The name Boko Haram means “Western education is forbidden” in the local Hausa language, and the group has been engaged in a violent campaign to create an
Islamic state since 2009.
It is thought the majority of the girls are Christians, although a number of Muslims are among those who were taken.
Chibok, from where they were abducted, is a small community where families are made up of members of both faiths.
