The much-anticipated boxing bout between Briamah Kamoko alias Bukom Banku and Ayitey Powers finally took place at the Accra sports stadium with Bukom Banku winning after 12 rounds. The judges scored it 117- 109, 119-100, 120-109 in favour of Bukom Banku.
The match which was witnessed by several dignitaries including former president Jerry John Rawlings & wife, and former world champions, Azumah Nelson, Ike Quartey and others saw Ayitey Powers losing grounds and clinging onto Bukom Banku from the early rounds of the match.
