Exclusive: Tonga, Adult Music’ And Two Others Banned from Ghana Music Awards

Few hours left and the nominees for the 15th edition of Ghana Music Awards will be released but exclusive information revealed on Peace FM‘s entertainment review this afternoon hosted by Kwasi Aboagye is that, Tonga by Joey B is out of the list.

The host of the show, Kwasi Aboagye confirmed that Joey B’s song which features Sarkodie has been banned adding that three other songs are likely to be out as well. When the host asked Mark Okreku Mantey who is a member of the jury as to whether the song has been banned or not, Mark said he cannot confirm or deny it but there are some songs the board listened to it several times in order to take a good decision.

The list of songs which were listened over and over aside Tonga which has been confirmed banned are Adult Music by Kwabeba Kwabena featuring Samini, Enter the Net by Shatta Wale and Samini’s Body Flame.
Kwasi Aboagye advised Joey B not to get closer to Golden Tulip, where the list will be announced if he has planed to because his hit song ‘Tonga’ will not be nominated unless the board takes an emergency meeting to reverse their plan. The song Tonga and others which are shaking is due to the lyrics and its concept.
