Rapper Young Thug was arrested last night (Feb. 25) for possession, reckless driving and more in what began as a traffic stop, reports Complex.com.
Cops say the 21-year-old was swerving on the road — aka "laying drags" — when he was pulled over. According to TMZ, authorities found an open drug possession warrant on his record and took him into custody.
Young Thug, neƩ Jeffrey Williams, was charged with possession of a schedule IV controlled substance, driving without a seat belt, driving in a circular or zig-zag course and reckless driving. He's believed to be in custody still, although no one from his camp has released any official details on the incident.
Despite the vehicular setback, the "Stoner" rhymer has been getting lots of buzz lately. Last year, Gucci Mane signed him to 1017 Brick Squad Records, but last week YT announced that he is now a member of the Cash Money Records team. A $1 million signing bonus reportedly helped him choose Cash Money over a deal with Future's Freebandz imprint.
