In an exclusive duologue with veteran broadcaster, Tommy Annan Forson, he has revealed to Flex newspaper that he has not received his Life Time Achievement plaque from the organizers of Ghana DJ Awards.
The maiden edition of the Ghana DJ Awards was organized on 15th February, 2013. Uncle Forson as we fondly call him, poured his emotions out, “I was honoured with the Life Time Achievement award but till date, the organizers have not given me my plaque! They promised I will get it after the event but as we speak, none of them have even called me to explain anything to me! This is a sign of gross disrespect! I am highly disappointed!”
In a separate interview with Mercury Quaye, CEO of Mercury Republic Events - organizers of the awards, he told Flex newspaper, “I am surprised you are asking me this! Honestly, I used to share the plaques myself but I left it to one of my team members to take over because I became very busy after the awards”.
“As far as I know, all the winners have received their plaques. What you are asking me is news to me! I can't believe it! I shall recheck from the team and the right thing would be done.
