T.I. Reveals Justin Timberlake Collaboration

Justin Timberlake is one of the names on the guest list for T.I.'s Paperwork: The Motion Picture album, the rapper revealed in a new XXL interview.

Tip and Timberlake have worked together before but according to the Grand Hustle leader, their latest collaboration -- a DJ Toomp-produced track called "Trap Me Up" -- is one of the tracks he's most excited about. "It's an awesome record JT blessed me with," he said.

Other names on deck for Paperwork include Jeezy, B.O.B, and Busta Rhymes, with Pharrell steering the music ship as executive producer.

Thus far, Tip and Skateboard P have worked on "a plethora" of songs. "We probably done recorded 14 records," announced T.I. "Words couldn’t even begin to describe how cutting-edge, left-field and just how broad these records are. But they still have that texture that I speak of. They still have that Curtis Mayfield, Bobby Womack, a ridin’ dirty kind of … but a new way to present it to the world because it has that thing that Pharrell does to music that sets it apart from any and everything else that’s being played. And of course I had to give it the pulse of what I know. It's incredible work."
Paperwork: The Motion Picture will be Tip's ninth studio LP, and his first with Columbia Records. That doesn't mean he's feeling the pressure to deliver at a certain time, though. He doesn't even have a release date. Instead, he and Pharrell are playing it by ear. "We are just working," Tip explained. "We are gonna continue to keep working until we get it right and challenge ourselves and raise the bar of excellence. Just push ourselves past our limitations as much as we possibly can."
