The dream of reigning TV3’s Ghana Most Beautiful, Lawrencia Ayapoka Anafo has always been to meet former president Jerry John Rawlings. Last week, her dream came true as the charismatic Papa J, gave her audience at his Ridge residence.
“I was over the moon, when I met the great man”, Lawrencia said. “I told him about my project on girl-child education and invited him to be a patron”. Instead of becoming a patron, former President Rawlings offered to be a consultant to the project.

According to her, she will be recruiting 30 graduate teachers in Upper East Region and Polytechnic students in the region who would go to selected basic schools to teach for a week.
She said she would like to inspire girls in the Upper East region to attend and remain in school.“I was over the moon, when I met the great man”, Lawrencia said. “I told him about my project on girl-child education and invited him to be a patron”. At the end of the one hour meeting with the former president, Poka who was happy about the visit could not help thanking Ex- president Rawlings for accepting to be part of her foundation.
