I AM NOT GOING FOR BIG BROTHER AFRICA ( @BigBroAfrica ) - TONTO DIKEH ( @TONTOLET )

Controversial Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has refuted stories making rounds that she has been selected to represent Nigeria in this year’s Big Brother Africa reality show.

With the eight season Africa’s most watched reality show inching closer by the day, several names keep popping up the media landscape as possible housemates.

Early this week, news went viral that Tonto has been given the nod as a housemate for this year’s show which kicks off on May 26 in South Africa.

With the story gaining currency, the actress, known in real life as Tonto Charity Dikeh, took to Twitter Tuesday to refute the rumours stating it beats her imagination that such a false story could be purported about her.

“Lol how ya'll tink I'm gonno go in2 d Bb8 Houze?,Sure beatz mii**kip d RUMOUR Alive but knw in ur Heartz dat NA LIEπŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ’‹ Gud mrng Loverz,” she said.

She pointed accusing fingers at Nigerian bloggers for fabricating the story stressing the story was carved out of boredom.

“Sure 9ja Bloggerz re BORED n OUTTA n dey Gaveup on d Truth Along time age to b FICTION/Storybook writerz**,” Tonto tweeted and added that, “U gettin deze Folkz excited abt bb8 n u ve no clue az2 wat u re sayin n u design a banner on ur blog on a story u ddnt verify**wat re u?”

“If u a blogger n u ve a story on mii goin 4 Bb8 den u shld b ASHAMED of ursef Profezzionally az alwayz** #POKO#,” the 2005 Next Movie Star first runner-up stated.
Although the show has had some celebrities as housemates in past seasons, this will not be the first time rumours about celebrities being selected as housemates for the reality show have turned out to be false.

Last week, Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie also took to twitter to refute speculations that he will be representing Ghana as this year’s show stating he has no intention of being a contestant.

Sarkodie said unless he is performing on the show, Big Brother Africa is a no go area for him.
