It’s a big deal, and one Samini is excited about. A rare honour done him, the Dancehall artiste will be performing at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow to usher in the main fight of the night between Joseph ‘KingKong’ Agbeko and Colombian Luis Melendez, for the vacant International Boxing Organisation (IBO) Bantamweight title.
Samini gets to perform courtesy an invitation from the Ghana Boxing Authority and the organizers.
“Am #honoured to be chosen by @Kingkong4real & the whole #GBA to sing the #GhanaNationalAnthem tomorrow @ #AccraSportsStadium,” he’s tweeted.
Agbeko is expected to win the bout tomorrow, which coincidentally is taking place on his birthday. An eventual will boost his career, which hasn’t been all that buoyant for sometime now.
