Beyonce has dropped out of Clint Eastwood's highly-anticipated remake of ‘A Star Is Born’ due to scheduling conflicts.
The superstar was set to follow in the footsteps of Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand by playing a young singer who falls in love with an older musician mentor in a new version of the beloved tale.
However, after struggling to fit the shoot into her schedule, the ‘Crazy In Love’ hit maker has decided to walk away from the project.
A statement from Beyonce reads, "I was looking forward to the production of ‘A Star Is Born’ and the opportunity to work with Clint Eastwood. For months we tried to coordinate our schedules to bring this remake to life but it was just not possible. Hopefully in the future we will get a chance to work together."
A replacement is yet to be announced.
