ATWAG SYMPATHISES WITH FAMILIES OF TAMALE ACCIDENT VICTIMS

The Arts and Tourism Writers Association of Ghana (ATWAG) wishes to express its deepest condolence to the families of the eight (8) persons who reportedly died through an accident in Tamale yesterday.

As stakeholders in the arts and tourism industry, we are saddened by the report that six (6) of the deceased were fans of popular Tamale-based singer, Mujahid Ahmed Bello, known by his stage name Fancy Gadam, who were on their way to welcome Nigerian artiste, Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie, better known by his stage name Patoranking at the Tamale Airport ahead of Fancy Gadam’s concert which was scheduled for today, Saturday, June 30th, 2018.

We also commiserate with the families of the two (2) workers of Zylofon Cash, a subsidiary of Zylofon Media, who also reportedly died through the accident while on duty ahead of the concert in Tamale.

ATWAG also wishes the injured a very speedy recovery.

The unfortunate incident is really a big blow to Fancy Gadam, Zylofon Media and the entire entertainment industry, and we wish to reiterate the national call for safety on our roads.

May the souls of the deceased rest in peace.

Signed: Kwame Dadzie, Public Relations Officer, ATWAG
