Herbert Mensah Reacts To FIFA Scandal

Ghanaian Football Administrator, Mr. Herbert Mensah is backing the on-going investigation to uncover allegations of corruption against FIFA officials and wants serious sanctions imposed on those found culpable to protect the sanctity of world football.

The US Department of Justice launched a raid on the world football governing body on Wednesday with charges indicting 14 officials for racketeering, wire fraud and money laundering.

Commenting on the issue in a video posted on his Facebook page, Mr. Mensah expressed worry over the scandal that has dented the image of football. He believes it’s a step in the right direction and hopes justice is served to curb exploitation in football.

“My prayer is that the Americans see to its logical end where everybody has a sense of clarity. Those who must go to jail should go to jail,” he added.

Malol- lol Ghana Foundation To Be Launched Today

Beauty pageants generally are just full of glitz and glam and serves, from what I see, as pure entertainment and do not contribute to society as perceived.

After a winner is being crowned as a new Queen, receives all the expensive prizes including clothes, money, scholarships and sometimes a brand new car, that ends it for them, they never continue to pursue their project which they promised to embark should they be crowned  winner.

As I pondered the question further I began to wonder if beauty pageants really do contribute to society when my attention was drawn to the great works of TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful VIII winner Miss Bentie Abigail Baciara staged name Baci from the Upper West region of Ghana.

The 23yr old degree holder from the University of Development Studies, Wa Campus, has by far  contributed immensely to her community, after being crowned winner for the 2014 GMB pageant and received all the expensive prices like Hyundai saloon car, a cheque amount of GH¢10,000, one year supply of wax print from GTP, and souvenirs from the sponsors.

Baci’s aim of putting smiles on the face of the Ghanaian child as she pledged during the finals of the pageant, led her to donate sorted food items to Tamale Orphanage and Child Support Ghana, a non-governmental organisation that caters for young female orphans in WA.

GHANA IS A PARADISE SAYS OKYEAME KWAME

Just when the Rap Dacta released his much talked about ‘Mere Twen Wo’ video last Saturday on his YouTube channel, I made it a point to be counted as one of the first people to see it.

I really enjoyed watching the video for the first time and especially admired every bit of it featured; scenery, creativity, colours, good picture quality and his unusual dance. But trust me, one thing which many might consider the tiniest detail is what struck me the most- the beginning of the video.

It started with a bold inscription of “once upon a time in a paradise called….GHANA” with just shots from the nicest and enjoyable places we have in the capital. Like seriously?  Okyeame Kwame, Ghana? A Paradise? No! No!! No!!

I think his definition for paradise is quite different from what I understand as “a place or state of pure happiness. A tropical island where you feel as though everything is perfect and wonderful.

PEACE HYDE SHARES ON RE-PROGRAMMING YOUR BELIEFS

Hello and welcome to a piece of peace, your weekly dose of motivation and inspiration. This week I would like to share on the topic of “Re-Programming your beliefs”.

Let me start by asking, what’s the #1 limiting belief that is holding you back in life? Our beliefs have a strong influence on how far we go in life. Every person is motivated by a set of perceptions, which form our belief system.

We do not believe in the actual truth but rather the perception of the truth, which means if we choose to believe in the wrong thing, our focus, drive, ambition and ultimately success is affected forever. This perception is created by the society and environment we find ourselves in. They dictate to us who we are and what we are capable of.

If your science teacher tells you that you are weak in science, then guess what you are going to believe about yourself? - That you are dumb when it comes to science. If you failed in your first business venture then you believe you are a failure in business so you might as well stick to your regular 9 to 5 job.

We base the perception of ourselves and our surroundings on the knowledge we’ve gathered over the years oblivious to the fact that these beliefs might simply be lies we tell our-selves.

EXTENSIVE Review of Tigo Ghana Meets Naija Concert

Sarkodie shoved off a pre-event ‘crisis’ to deliver yet, his best performance in several months.

On a night that mattered most to the thrice-nominated BET Awards artiste, he gave a compelling reason of just how good he was, and how perfecting a normal trade routine has become unproblematic with time.

Ghana came to party on Saturday, and she had a heavy dose of that – made possible by a strong artistry presence that delivered itself – to the thousands who came to the Accra International Conference Centre for the 5th edition of the Ghana Meets Naija concert.

Organizers, Empire Entertainment, can pat themselves on the back for a job well executed. The 5th Ghana Meets Naija rocked. The bar has been raised so high they may have to come up with something miles better than this next year.

Artiste after the other, Africa’s biggest musicians gave the thousands who came to watch another reason to believe in their trade.

Starr103.5FM's DJ VYRUSKY WOWS CROWD AT TIGO GHANA MEETS NAIJA

Keeps Patrons on their feet throughout Performance.

Like the phenomenal occurrence, this year’s Tigo Ghana Meets Naija was nothing short of excellence. The organisers must be duly applauded for their sequential production of this event as they have always performed better than the previous years.

From the opening act Nero X to the closing performance from The Mavins. It was crystal clear that pre - production had not been played with. Stage crafts from major and minor acts lined to thrill the show were exhilarating and certainly well-planned.

Another activity that got the show even more electrifying was the Dj battle between Nigeria’s Dj and The Starr Drive's Dj Vyrusky, both of whom Cypress Ghana admits are at the apogee of their turntables game and through a battle, one had to win.

Dj Vyrusky put the room in a frenzy as he started his snazzy style of playing with a cocktail of Afro beat bangers. As to how he could get all those songs on one mix was the multi-million question. Imagine a Dj blending Ayelate, Skolom, Odo Esisi me, Yahooze, Aben wo ha, Oliver Twist, Akwadaa wesoa and many others in a play.

The second set of the musical marathon was what made patrons describe the young man as a genius in what he does. He overwhelmed the entirety by what I can refer to as a hiphop choral session. From the popular all I do is win through Drip Drop to Love Rocks and P.I.M.P.
